THE FREEDOM PRINCIPLE

Preus produced an installation for the Freedom Principle at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, curated by Dieter Roelstraete and Naomi Beckwith, exploring the history of experimental jazz music and art in Chicago. The installation was a reception area and stage for the exhibition and performances that would happen throughout the exhibition. Composed largely of materials salvaged from closed Chicago Public schools. Fabrication assistance from William FitzPatrick and Kevin Reiswig.

Performance by Preus’s sound project, New Material on the Freedom Principle stage.
