Founded in 2010, Dilettante Studios is a design/build business based on 15 years of experience in the building and furniture-making trades. The following are a few selected representative projects:

Dining Table in birch and redwood. The top of the table was salvaged from a dumpster on Fulton across from the shop, and Redwood salvaged from a former water tower. Fabricated/photographed by Kevin Reiswig.

8′ x 16′ Cabinette, built with my father in northern Wisconsin over the course of 3 summers.
Outdoor bench and rock landscaping. The 3″ thick x 10″ wide douglas fir planks were salvaged from a construction site on the University of Chicago campus. The boards were used to create underground walls, within which steam pipes are laid in the ground. 2008
